Via CBT is an out-of-network provider for most major insurance PPO plans. We do not process insurance claims, but we provide you with all documentation necessary for a seamless reimbursement process after each session.
We advise all prospective clients to determine your out-of-network benefits and your reimbursement rate in advance of your first session by calling the number on your insurance card and asking the following questions:
Do I have out-of-network behavioral health benefits to see a licensed psychologist via telehealth?
What is my out-of-network reimbursement rate per session?
What is my out-of-network deductible? Has it been met?
How many sessions are covered per calendar year?
How do I submit claims?
Fees at Via CBT currently start at $375 per session, with limited sliding scale availability.
Via CBT operates as an exclusively remote practice at this time. We use a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform with a unique link for each appointment. Research conducted both before and during the pandemic has shown that teletherapy is just as effective as in-person therapy, and in fact has a positive impact on retention, because it is more readily accessible. Via CBT focuses on providing high quality remote therapy that allows for flexibility and accommodation of our clients’ busy schedules. No commute, no babysitters, no waiting room, just focused therapy where you are comfortable.
Treatment length varies, depending on your goals and personal circumstances. CBT is a shorter-term therapy, with the majority of clients feeling some mood relief within the first few sessions. Depending on objectives, I see clients for a couple of months, or for years. Sometimes an initial therapy goal is met within a few weeks, and a client decides to establish a new goal and continue. I will always give you my clinical opinion when establishing treatment duration and frequency.
If in doubt, let's schedule a call to chat for 15 minutes about what you're looking for, and whether this practice is the right fit. In some cases, it can be a good idea to talk to 2-3 therapists to be able to answer the following questions:
- Do I feel like this therapist 'gets' me?
- Do they have experience working with my challenges?
- Does their therapeutic approach to my problems make sense?
If Via CBT is not the right fit for you, you'll know from our chat. If I don't have the expertise to help you with something, I'll help direct you toward someone who does. My objective is to get you stronger, whether with me or someone else.
